EVENT INFORMATION
After three years of lockdowns, health scares and band breakups, Generational musical misfits Stunts are ready to play their debut Electrogrunge album “Housework” at Anita’s Theatre, Thirroul on April 13.
Stunts’ co-lead vocalists Matty and Racey tell stories of longing, heartbreak and disappointment from opposing perspectives drawing on influences as diverse as Joy Division, Kate Bush, Nick Cave and The Pixies. An unholy marriage of the sounds of the 80s and 90s.
“Housework is to modern music what Michelangelo’s David was to art - that is, if David was hanging out and getting hammered with members of Joy Division, The Cure and Bauhaus. “ - William Bowden - Grammy and ARIA award winning Mastering Engineer.
“So many twists and turns. Onward Maestro”. - Tim Rogers - You Am I, The Twin Set
“Stunts bring the best parts of everything electronic, new wave and post punk into their own blend.”. Cameron Menegoni - AMRAP
