EVENT INFORMATION
Nationally revered singer, songwriter, musician and producer SARAH BLASKO celebrates her 21st anniversary as an artist with a rare performance of her two seminal albums ‘The Overture & the Underscore’ and ‘What the Sea Wants, The Sea Will Have’ on a national tour this September.
With a career now spanning seven solo albums, two albums with Holly Throsby and Sally Seltmann as Seeker Lover Keeper, music compositions for two Bell Shakespeare productions and the likes of Sir Elton John counted amongst her fans, Sarah Blasko is as expansive as she is prolific, writing songs that strike with rare immediacy, clarity and purpose.
The 3x ARIA Award winning, 18x nominated and 3x Platinum selling artist will take audiences back to where it all began, performing her first two albums - the critically acclaimed debut The Overture & The Underscore (2004) and commercial breakthrough follow up What The Sea Wants, The Sea Will Have (2005) - in their entirely, together with her long-standing live band - David Hunt, David Symes, Laurence Pike & Neal Sutherland.
Don’t miss your opportunity to see one of the most singular voices in Australian contemporary music in a career celebration, and in what will be her last headlines of the year.
“Her songwriting craft is so advanced, her grasp of pop so redolent, it is sometimes easy to forget how great a singer Blasko is.” - The Guardian
