Armed with a new album, Man At Work Vol. 2, revered troubadour Colin Hay will be gracing Anita’s Theatre in June with a musical masterclass in storytelling – playing a collection of songs that spans the length of his highly successful and independently driven career.
Few artists can lay claim to the oeuvre that Hay has contributed to stages, screens and radio airwaves across the globe for over three-and-a-half decades. In recent years, his artistry has been celebrated with APRA's esteemed Billions Award marking one billion streams of the song 'Down Under' and the equally prestigious Ted Albert Award for outstanding services to Australian music.
Those who have heard his songs on the radio will tell you it's his soaring vocals that set him apart from the masses, but only the punters who have witnessed his stage presence can understand the breadth of his talent which goes far beyond strings and octaves...the Colin Hay experience is an enchanting and anecdotal trip not to miss.
