A Landmark Partnership: From a Diamond to a King Announces Major National Collaboration with Shake It Up Australia Foundation
From a Diamond to a King is set to redefine the live entertainment landscape with a high-impact national tour that unites two cultural powerhouses - the music of Neil Diamond and Elvis Presley - with one strategic purpose: accelerating Parkinson’s research in Australia.
Powered by the full brilliance of the Australian Symphony Orchestra and starring internationally acclaimed performers Peter Byrne and Damian Mullin, this production is more than a concert; it is a purpose-led alliance delivering social impact at scale.
Every ticket purchased will go towards funding Parkinson’s research, with $10 donated directly to the Shake It Up Australia Foundation. This contribution honours Neil Diamond, who lives with Parkinson’s, and supports more than 200,000 Australians who are also living with the disease.
Beginning in 2026, all performances of From a Diamond to a King will formally support the Shake It Up Australia Foundation, in line with the charity’s mission to fast-track better treatments and ultimately find a cure for Parkinson’s disease.
With 38 Australians diagnosed every day, Parkinson’s is the country’s second fastest-growing neurological disorder. Shake It Up Australia, in partnership with The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, remains at the forefront of breakthrough scientific progress.
Peter Byrne, an official Ambassador for Shake It Up since 2018, has already generated more than $70,000 for Parkinson’s research. This national tour represents the next phase of his long-term commitment to driving measurable outcomes for those affected.
